New York, June 20, 2023 – First time novelist Richard Eisner brings the story of two men who served together in Vietnam where John, in an extraordinary act of courage, saved Javier’s life. Decades later, they are reunited in a maximum security prison. In prison, Javier is a notorious gang leader while John is a newcomer who has been framed for rape. Through grit, courage, and self-sacrifice, they find redemption and justice. 

In writing Courage and Justice, Eisner was inspired by the individuals he met at The Fortune Society, an organization that supports people in their reentry to open society.
